Our building sign also includes a reference to the Bible passage James 4:13-15, which reads: ‘Now listen, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, carry on business and make money.’ Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, ‘If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.’
‘That’s more of a reminder to me about my own personal philosophy and why I’m in business than necessarily to say anything to the customers,’ Don notes.
Growing Day By Day For Over 45 Years
Don started his business with little experience in auto transmission repair and no training. The opportunity to buy the new building came up at a time when he wasn’t sure whether to expand his business or not. He decided to purchase the building, which turned out to be a good decision. Today, he blissfully reflects – for this company to make it over 45 years, and our move to a nice place like this, if it weren’t the Lord’s will that I should be doing this, it would have never happened.
